Halloween in T4

Yesterday we had a fun day in class learning about Halloween we even got to dress up. The term Jack-o lantern means a night watchman or man with a lantern.
This is my jack-o-mandarin.

Rugby World Cup Games

On Monday we had our Rugby World Cup games, it was so much fun.


I am helping one of my team to do the egg and spoon race, but we used a tennis racket and rugby ball, it was very tricky and heavy to do.

Kayaking with Dad

Thomas Kayaking

On Saturday I went kayaking with my dad at Dillman's Dam. I got to go in Johnathon's Kayak. I had to wear my own life jacket.  I got to the kayak all on my own. I loved it. Little bit scary using the paddle. I did not tip out of the kayak. I didn't even wobble.
Afterwards I got to have a fire with some food. I burnt my sausages and I  had bread with no sauce.
I got to do fishing as well.

Maths DLO

 This is my enlargement of Sponge Bob which I did a 6x6. I had fun doing this but I got sore a sore hand colouring it in.

Rugby

On Thursdays we go down to Hokitika for RDA.  It's lots of fun, we get to do exercises on the horses. I go to see Sandy  first.  I pat her.
Next I put my helmet on my   head.

I   have to put my foot  in the  stirrup . Then I have to jump up into the saddle. Now I am ready to ride. 

I need to hold onto the reins to be able to move the horse. I tap their tummy with my foot and say, 

"Walk up, come on, come, on."

I do it by myself and walk around the arena. I rode up to the racecourse and put them to bed in their paddocks.

I have to take my hat off. So when we took the saddle off the horse "Buzz" had a roll and a scratch on the grass.

Dressed up as Tom the miner son,

A brown peak hat and brown vest to be Tom Carter,

Yellow light in a lantern to see in the dark, smokey day,

Waiting by the tunnel, for my dad to come home,

Feeling sad, angry, worried and my tummy pumped up with air,

Waiting is long.
